I recently bought a Gaming PC from my Daughters friend. He said I need to install windows because he needed it. How do I install windows on this PC? I have laptops that I don't use any more. Can I use windows from one of them?

Unfortunately no.
If that were W7 you could try using the S/N from one of the other systems, and maybe the activation would then be successful.

With W10 its a whole different story, so you will have to buy a new license...

What is the easiest way to get windows on this PC? I need to be sure everything works before I give it to my Son on Christmas. I also bought him these to go with it. I hope these will work well?

Could I just take the HD out of the old PC and connect it to the Gaming PC?

No since windows forms its self to the hardware that is in that particular system and the drivers for the other system would not work on the newer system. When it self checks it self with Microsoft it well read that ii is in a different computer and the hardware does not match and cripple the Operating System.

Best thing to do is go to the local store and purchase the operating system and got to the hardware sites and download the proper drives for the hardware in that new system.

I bought Windows 10 from an online store and now I need to figure out how to get it on the Gaming PC. How???

Any updates for us?
Yes, the PC was damaged and could not find the HD. I tried using 2 different HD's and it just didn't work. Turned out the PC was from 2008 also. I was told it was newer. I guess I'm buying a new PC for him.
