I have this PC put together (Canada) at the top of my price range. I currently play on Xboxone and it sucks - looking for an upgrade. Do you see any issues with its compatibility? Do you recommended any changes? The PC will just be used for Warzone.

Thanks
Brad

if it was mine, I'd be making the secondary storage at least 2TB.
and a 650watt 80+ Bronze power supply just isn't going to cut it.
has to be at least 80+ Gold, and something around 850watt, and from a manufacture that has at least 5, preferably 10, year warranty.
look at the Corsair and EVGA brands on that site.

I will only be using the PC for warzone which is currently 175 GB - do you think 2 TB is necessary?

Could i get away with 750 watt?

Also what are your thoughts on the CPU?

Having more storage is seldom a bad thing, right now you may only plan on using it for Warzone, but you may (in the future) decide to start playing other games, streaming, working from home, etc. Planning ahead is a great thing to do when specing out a machine, buy for the future, but don't buy something you won't be able to utilize.

As far as 2TB, hard drives are quite cheap, I would support that or investing more into your SSD at the least (That 500GB will go quickly).

Power supplies are a tough buy, general rule is to never have your PSU maxed out, even if everything were to take up the maximum amount of power. NVIDIA recommends a 750W PSU minimum for 30 series cards, but I stand with Bruce on the 850W Gold+ (or higher). This is your computer's first line of defense in the event of any "dirty" power, going a little (20% -ish) overboard is quite alright.

Finally, the CPU, it's fine, I've been using i7's for gaming for years, the latest was an 8th gen and it did more than enough, you should have no issues running games, streaming, or the odd server hosting.

The GPU is the only decent component in that build and the merchant only able to include it in the build because everything else is budget + they buy GPUs in large quantities so get those for far less than you purchasing a single card.

Bruce and Pyro are both spot on about the PSU, I wouldn`t trust the Gamdias brand as a doorstop even if it were Gold efficiency rated., the particular PSU in that build is only rated as Tier D • Recommended only for very cheap, iGPU systems here

Almost US $1400 of your hard earned cash going on the CPU, GPU and MB etc and less than US $50 on the PSU which just happens to be the most important component in any PC.

Edit to add: Just noticed that you specifically asked about the CPU, +1 for speed but -1 for it having no on die video and another -1 for it having more cores than you will need and those cores will just get parked meaning that you would be wasting cash, two CPUs that do have video at the benchmark results here, remember that the i7 is so cheap because it has no video.

Thanks you for the help. I am very illiterate when it comes to this stuff. I am trying to learn on the go. Honestly I need an expert to just take over and build the computer how they would from that link. Something that would last a bit and be solid for playing warzone. Its hard because everyone has there own opinion on what should be changed and what shouldn't - and its usually never the same. This form has probably been the most consistent with agreeing on the same things.

The operating system storage is ok at 500 GB? Its just the Secondary Storage that needs to be increased?

Here is the updated build - http://www.clxgaming.com/c/_iyk54bbad

Sorry but wouldn`t touch it at that price, which btw I notice is in US as opposed to Can $.

To reiterate, the GPU is the only decent component in the first build, all that you have done is swap a junk PSU for one that is more appropriate quality wise.

No it is Canadian dollars for me. I wonder if when you click on link if you are in USA it auto converts off your IP.

Everyone I speak with says "I would not touch it at that price" "Build your own" because they are experts and are able to do that haha. I am not and would not be able to build myself although it would save money.
When you say decent component are you saying all the remaining parts are not good at all? Are you saying Decent component to run a Video Game like Warzone? It is a very vague statement.

I am in the UK not the US and the price being shown is US $1549, your Can $ price makes the computer even less worth it.

It is a very vague statement.

In what way has anything I have said been vague, you were advised of the following by myself;

The GPU is the only decent component in that build and the merchant only able to include it in the build because everything else is budget + they buy GPUs in large quantities so get those for far less than you purchasing a single card.

Please advise where above I could have been any clearer and I will address it.

@Ferraro12 - still need help?
Kind of haha - still trying to learn this stuff. Its very difficult as there are so many options. Everyone has their own opinions of what's best. I'm just looking for a PC that will run warzone now and for the future. I built this other one today. Its over my price range but whatever its just money right.

Its hard to find help where someone will tell you what part to get and what part not to get and why. The why is what helps rookies like myself try and understand.

changed it again to this:

Getting better but you still do not have a CPU that has on die video + the second build, why have you put a junk PSU back in

Bruce and Pyro are both spot on about the PSU, I wouldn`t trust the Gamdias brand as a doorstop even if it were Gold efficiency rated.,

So bad that it only makes it onto Tier C • Recommended for cheap mid/low-end systems

For your present list of parts I would recommend as a minimum the 750W PSU with a 10 year warranty here but preferably the 850W unit with a 12 year warranty here

I believe Phill was referring to onboard video.

This allows for easier troubleshooting should you ever face a video problem (it allows you to use the computer without the GPU installed, which is nice if you ever need to RMA the card, etc.)

Some CPUs support it, others don't, AMD's website will tell you for certain if you look up the model.

If you look on their site for your selected model (The Ryzen 5 5600X) you will see this:

Graphics Capabilities

Integrated Graphics - No

Graphics Model - Discrete Graphics Card Required

Thanks Pyro (y) The above had been explained in my reply #5 as was how bad Gamdias PSUs are, this suggests that the OP is either not reading all of the advice provided or worse still they are ignoring it.

haha phill you are so arrogant. As I mentioned before I know nothing about this stuff. Doing my best trying to learn. You give advise buy don't say why or give alternatives.

I recommend you do something else during your spare time. People come to forms for help not to be belittled and talked down to.

Not sure how I close my chat. I have found helpful information elsewhere. If someone could please close the chat that would be great.

Thanks

Hi Bruce, no worries. I found a friend of a friend that is helping me and actually building it for me as well so I am all good.

Thanks Bruce.
