Hello!
I have build a new pc, which is not my first.
Now i am experiencing some problems with games crashing on startup or after a few minutes of playing.
I took the Graphics card out of the pc i was using before, and it had no issues there.
I seems i have most of the problems with games from Steam, but also some other games. With Baldur's Gate 3, the game crashed after every cutscene. Meanwhile i can play a lot of games from the epic games store and Escape from Tarkov without issues.
I already installed all the newest drivers, newest bios, tried windows 11 and did a full clean install of windows. I also checked the integrity of the game files and reinstalled Steam and all of its games. All of this doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have the solution for this problem? Please let me know!
Greetings, Lars

Specs of the pc:
Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II Motherboard
Intel Core i9 14900K processor
Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090 Gaming OC 24G Graphics Card
DDR5 2x32gb G.SKILL F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RS Trident Z5
Gigabyte AORUS P1200W Power Supply
NZXT Kraken 360 RGB CPU Cooler
2x Samsung ssd 990 PRO 4TB NVMe M.2 Drives
Windows 10 Pro

tried windows 11 and did a full clean install of windows.

After installing Windows did you install the MBs chipset drivers, then the SATA drivers and followed by the Intel VGA drivers for the CPU.

The RAM is not appropriate for your CPU, Intel state here up to 5600MHz/MT/s and if you have XMP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC will become unstable.

You should also make sure that the Windows Power Plan is set to Balanced and not High Performance.

Thank you for your reaction. I did install the drivers you listed after my windows install.
My ram is not using XMP, so the system automatically clocked the speed at 4600mhz.
My power plan is now set to balanced, but without result unfortunately

You are welcome but can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

Couple of things for you to do;

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply for us if you will.
