Why do i get error on some websites i try to save like Amazon?

Looking at the screen shot in post #1, you are using gthumb. Apparently that app is used to save images, not websites.

You should be using GNU wget from doing some searching

I don't run mint so I'm not familiar with the program. Additionally, rather than save webpages, I usually just bookmark them.
If I want the information to look at offline, I use PrintKey 2000 in Windows to print out sections of the pages I want to save.
