Hello you amazing people, happy Monday, hope your week has started off well.

I have received a few private holiday photos and banking information for my personal bank accounts which i have on my hard drive. However i wanted to kindly ask if anyone knows the best password protection software so when i try and open these it asks for a password? I really dont like the idea if my laptop is stolen this data can be accessed and i know the computer password can be bypassed.

you can get software that password protects folders, and other programs that create their own "storage vault", but what I have done in the past is simply use any ZIP creation software.

for example WinZip and 7Zip allows passwords to be applied to archived ZIP files.
so you compress a file or folder, tell it to have a password and then you can't uncompress any items within the zipped contents without the password.

Looking at 7Zip and WinZip these might be good options indeed. Do you kindly know any good or recommended software for the password protect folder software please? I am not really sure the storage vault would be something i need. This is just so i can compare and hopefully find the best software.
