Hi, I am using Samsung A7 (2018), and today, I suddenly got a shock from the fingerprint sensor. I tested it repeatedly to see if it was not an accident, but it keeps on shocking. It doesn't shock you immediately, but if I put my finger on it for a second or more, it starts to heat up and gives electric shock.
Is it because water went in or something? I am not sure about water going in, and there is no shock from other parts of the phone.

Thank you.

Hi, I checked it again properly and see the paint peeling off in the middle part of the fingerprint sensor, is the fingerprint sensor without the paint a metal?
Can I use normal paint to cover it and make it work or do I have to replace it?

Personally replace.

With paint you are blocking the reader from being able to see.
Thank you. Will take it for service I guess. I didn't even know the fingerprint scanner could be replaced before, hopefully it isn't expensive.

maybe something clear and sticky - like sticky tape or adhesive clear contact.
