I have a JPG file that is about half picture and half text. I need to change some of the text. I searched the web for a JPG editor. They all seem free until you download them. Anyway, there was one that said the following. "You can insert your JPG file into a new Word document. with Microsoft Word, using the INSERT option in the menu bar at the top, and then select PICTURES, once you've selected your picture you can save it as a Word document. I did that, and now I have the JPG saved as a Word document. However I can not edit it. As soon as I put the mouse on the letters I want to change, the document gets a line around it, and gets small circles at the top and sides, like you wanted to expand the file. Any suggestions ? Thanks, Mike

images embedded in a Word document are still images, so yeah, can't be edited.

if the text you are trying to change is not overlayed with the picture, why not use good old Paint.
your can select the text portion, delete it, and put a new text box in.

Thanks Bruce. I used Paint, and was able to change the text as needed. Thanks, Mike
