Can someone help an old silver surfer out please!

I send photos to relatives each week with google mail. (windows 10)

I simply drag and drop a image from 'my pictures' folder into the email I'm writing.

For some reason a few days ago it doesn't work.

I drag the photo and drop it in the email as I always have but it doesn't appear in the email.

I am using the same picture folder as I always have done and drag and drop the same way as I always do.

I know there are other ways of inserting a image into mail but this is the way I am used to and want to carry on doing the same.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Try sending a test message to yourself with just a pic or two.?

Even though that the pick does not show that it is not working do the pictures show in the send EMail?

GMail may be sending them as attachments.

How are you accessing GMail via the app or browser and which browser?

Have you tried using a different browser did that make a difference?

Thanks Rustys but that doesnt work.

I click on a picture in 'my pictures' folder, then when I start to drag it out of the folder into a email I get a sign come up, like a no entry sign.

I am accessing Gmail on my laptop, using Microsoft Edge, Windows 10

How are you getting to the my pictured folder?

Are you clicking on Insert Photo form with in the email and or opening the folder manually?
