Being a long time newbie with Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 I do like Linux alot. On most things i get around fine. Is there a program or something to read? I dont understand how to download, where to find the download, and open it. I rarely download. But i would like to no how? Remember iam a newbie with Linux.

Be more specific as to what downloads you are doing?
Pictures, Movies, Programs, Files?

If you are talking about like through the browser then there is the Arrow pointing down on the top left. That you can click on and it will show you a list of the downloaded files.

Then you can also go to the Files folder off the task bar or the Home folder off the desktop. There will be a directory called Downloads.

I would say programs maybe. I just mainly want to no how to open downloads on Linux. I have researched this on You Tube and in search but most tell you do this or that, like your a Linux genious. I even type in, newbie that doesnt help at all. Thank,s Chuck
