Hey guys, I brought some cheap thumb drives recently and have tried to transfer video to them and when I do the folder system is all there and occasionally the file too but mostly they show as empty. The data is being used according to the properties. So far I’ve tried formatting in as many options as I have and partitioning and re partitioning, wiping and starting again. The files that do show in the folders tend to be i on their own or with two or three others but if there’s ten files forget it.

Have I just gotten a cheap broken product or is there hope?

Where did you get the drives from?

If it was me I would wipe them and return (exchange) the for proper ones. If they are already flaking like this now what is going to happen when you need that data.

Could be a bad batch to fakes.
