I frequently chose to turn -off "auto arrange" for files within internal folders on previous versions of Windows and position files manually. Now, it appears Microsoft has imposed "auto arrange" as the only way to position folders in areas other than the desktop on newer releases of W10. Can't Microsoft leave well enough alone????? IF it ain't broke, don't screw around with it! Annoying, and seemingly no way to contact them to suggest them instituting a change!

From what I have been reading this has been since Windows 7 and above.

There are a few places that stated to hack the registry yet you could end up bricking the system and or causing parts of windows to stop working.
