Hi I have a corrupted micro sd card. I can't delete the corrupted file because it set my card to read only, and same when I try to format. I tried ALOT of cmd command, chkdsk, AOMEI and DiskRepair app. Tried bad sector repair and nothing works. Even tried formating on a "simple device" (camera) abd it will just not work. Is there anything else I can do or my 200G micro sd is dead for good ?
P.S I know what is the faulty/virus file, contracted it on a while decompressing a file on an Android phone (the card is mounted on my phone all the time)

sounds like you tried all the stuff I would have suggested.
just confirming, you also tried to format the card with it in a phone or camera or anything that takes an SD card and has a format command?
and the dumb question, the read-only switch hasn't been touched on the card itself???

but sadly, they do simply die!

If you tried diskpart & it couldn’t read the disk or it failed then the drive has died.
If you haven’t tried diskpart then it’s worth doing but you’ll lose everything on the card.
Right click Start>Powershell with admin & enter:
diskpart
list disk
select disk X (where X is the number of the SD card)
Clean
Exit
Exit

Then go to drive management & format the drive.

I've already tried all that (and my micro sd doesn't have the physical switch). So guess it is dead. Thank you very much
