I want to convert an external ssd from exfat to ntfs. The problem is I have 3TB worth of data on it so backing it up to another drive and then formatting it to ntfs would take forever since I don't have any other ssds that are that size, only mechanical HDDs which only have a write speed of like 250 mb/s. Is there a way to convert it without losing any of my data that is already on the ssd?

Not possible in my experience.
Unless there is some new tool I haven't heard of which of course is highly possible.

Changing from FAT, NTFS, exFat, or what have you has always required a re-format of the medium, therefore destroying its contents
