Just converted a "Hackintosh" DIY computer from MacOS to Windows 11. It works fine, but according to the subject Win dows 11 Requirements thread it should not. My computer is a Skylake, configured as follows:
Motherboard: Gigabyte H170N-WIFI
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700
RAM: Kingston 16 GB
Storage: 2 Sandisk 1 TB NVMe SSDs
Graphics: AMD RX 6400
Case: Rosewill Mini ITX RS-MI-01 BK

Had much trouble getting Microsoft Mail to work, but finally stepson (software architect) found discrepancy between Port 587 and the protocol used on that port. Now works fine.

Computer plays games like Riven, Obduction, Firmament, Myst Online Uru Live just fine.

How come this all works when it shouldn't?
 
Sorry... SSDs are SATA, not NVMe as I mis-wrote above. Senile moment.

Your CPU is 6th gen and apparently, Win11 wants 8th gen or better.
I have a i3 7th gen and it doesn't allow me to get Win11.
So I don't know how it bypassed that first hurdle, expect to guess that MS simply chose to ignore that requirement during installation.
 
There’s hacks/registry fixes which can bypass the requirements. I can only think either a clean install ignores the requirement or one of the fixes has been done at some point.
 
I think Bastet is probably right. My USB flash drive installer was originally a Windows 10 installer, upgraded to Windows 11 by replacing the USB/sources/install.swm file with install.swm and install2.swm files from a Win 11 download (from Microsoft). I did that to avoid the TPM requirement. Seems to work fine and matches operational descriptions I have found on the Net for Win 11. If this should have been my lead, I apologize for burying it.
