I have a strange problem. On the bottom right hand of my opening screen is a small pop-up window that tells me the local weather and latest news. Since I bought my computer early this year this window has always given me the news and weather of my local area (Gold Coast, Australia). I turned off my computer at 2pm this afternoon. I turned it on again at 6pm. The window has strangely changed. It is now written in Chinese, which I do not understand. The weather is different too. The temperature it tells me is 32 degrees celsius -it is more than likely about 15 degrees celsius here right now - it is 7pm. Maybe the temperature is from a city in China? What has caused this odd change? Does anyone know? My computer is a HewlettPackard Envy and uses Microsoft Edge. I bought it brand new early this year for about two and a half thousand Aus dollars.

Do you use a VPN, if yes, that may explain it, if not, let us know.

I bought it brand new early this year for about two and a half thousand Aus dollars.

Bit expensive for a computer that is only running Windows 7!

click on the News and Interest toolbar, in the pop-up window, click the dot dot dot in the top right corner, then click Language and Content.
change it to Australia (English)
