I have windows 10 but not sure if that has anything to do with this issue.
When i start my PC there is a 50% chance it wont start properly and the message i added is what comes up. if i restart a few times it works but im afraid that one day it wont fix itself by restart and i will loose all my stuff.

it started acting like this about 2 months ago and i have recieved this message at least 20 times since

two options.
either the hard drive is failing and not being detected every time the PC boots.
or, the list of bootable devices in BIOS is changing and the boot list order needs to be manually adjusted to only look for the primary master hard drive, or at least, move it to the first position in the list.

How do i manually adjust that?

as soon as the PC starts, it should display something like "Press Del to enter setup".
usually Del, F2, F10 or Esc are the standard culprits.
once in the BIOS menu, there will be a list of the boot order it looks for drives in.
something like, CD first, main hard drive second, USB drives third - that sort of thing.
make sure your dive that the OS is on is listed first.
