Hello people,

Help needed over here

I've recently started to play Fortnite on my new Desktop.
Everything was going right, but then when the round start the monitor got black and it said "No image available"

Here's what I know:
- it only glitches when the round start, in the menu it works fine
- neither the pc or game settings were changed by me, at least that I remember (Fortnite settings were always epic)
- it started happening randomly
- it works in Windowed mode

if you think it's a setting I accidentally changed, please let me know

PS: It's not only in Fortnite, it also happens in Rust

Hi there @pedroquitas1 and welcome to PCHF :)

Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE.

Speccy will open and after a short wait will display a summary of your system specs.
[*]Click on the file menu.
[*]Then click Publish snapshot.

A dialogue box will ask you to confirm, select yes.

Another dialogue box will open
[*]Click Copy to Clipboard.
[*]Then click Close.

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below :)

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

Hello,

It's not allowing me to post.

But the temp with Chrome and Discord open is around 40 C
With fortnite: Around 59 C

Thank you :)

Did you make sure all your drivers are up to date? Did you also make sure Windows is fully updated as well?

Nevermind, it didn't fix it. I updated Windows and GPU driver using Nvidia Experience. Still happens, I wonder why though..

It's pointing towards a graphics issue.

To rule out hardware, we're going to run Furmark. Go ahead and download Furmark from here and install it. When it's done, run Furmark and click "Run Stress Test". Let it run for about 30 minutes. If it shuts down or errors out, you have a faulty graphics card. If not, it's a software/driver issue.

It ran for 30 minutes and nothing happened. The temperature was always around 79/80 C.

Do you know how I can fix it? The latest Graphics Driver was installed with Nvidia Experience by me. But if it's a software issue, it's not possible to be fixed by me?

Now I've started to think that it might be the monitor resolution. But the thing is, if it was why it only started happening now? So I guess it's not.

By the way, monitor resolution is 1536 x 960

When you install a Graphics driver, the resolution goes back to 1920x1080.
Go into "Control Panel" "Display" and lower your resolution.

Have you checked the settings in game?
Have you tried lower the settings in the game?
Have you tried resetting the game settings?
For you Video card did it come with a disk containing the drives?
You may want to try removing the ones that are installed not and the reference in the Device Manager.
Then reboot and reinstall the original drivers.
