I have a SSD installed in my system and for the life of me I can't get it to pin to the Quick Access panel that shows on the left side of every opened File Explorer window. I have tried right clicking it and selecting "Pin to Quick Access" but it doesn't actually do it after I click the option. For some reason my external Crucial drive shows in quick access but not this one that's connected to my mobo via sata cable. I think at one point I was using this SSD in an external enclosure but then decided to just connect it internally but without reformatting or anything, so could that be the issue? Do I possibly need to reformat the drive? I use this drive the most so it's annoying having to hunt down "This PC" in quick access then clicking the drop down, then clicking the drive. Also when I try to save something to the drive it doesn't show up in the options. I have to again go to "My PC" hit the dropdown, then select the drive.

Have you gone through and ran any Windows updates/restarted the PC?

How many items do you have pinned to your quick access, have you tried unpinning/repinning any others?

Is it correct that when you select "pin to quick access" it does nothing, or does it give you a message/warning of some sort?

Just checking now, I realized I have NEVER clicked the little Home icon in the Navigation Pane of file explorer windows. Well I just did and sure enough my drive is pinned there in the drop-down of Home. I guess you learn something new everyday. I'm so used to Windows 10 where you pin a drive and it's just there in the Navigation Pane, not pinned under a catagories drop down menu.

Yeah, Win11 (and Microsoft) love moving things around, not to make the user experience better, just because they can.

Shall we close this now that you have learned something new? :ROFLMAO:
