Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

My phone storage is full, and as usual I am moving all the videos from my phone to my laptop &/ hard drive. At first it was a settings I had to change with the way I recorded the videos so I change that settings months ago. Then recently my laptop seems to have had a virus so it was not functioning properly which caused the same issue, but when I tried using another laptop my phone was responding the same way.
It will start the transfer then shortly after it disconnects my phone and says phone cannot be reached so none of the videos transfers. I've tried different cables to see if maybe it's the cable that is not working but none seem to make a difference. I also tried uploading all my videos to google drive to then copy it onto the laptop but it will upload a couple then is nonresponsive.

perhaps it is simply too full to do too much at a time.
try transferring one video, and when done check it transferred OK, and if so, delete it off the phone.
repeat a few times until some phone space has been achieved, then try doing multiple file transfers.

Thank you. I am trying that right now, I was not able to do one video. I have removed a bit of some pictures but no videos.

if you are using some sort of auto file transfer process, may be don't use it and instead expand the Apple iPhone folder in File Explorer, and select a few folders at a time from the DCIM bunch and paste them into your Downloads folders (for example).

your Pictures folder is part of OneDrive so it'll be trying to sync with the cloud during transfer, maybe cocking things up for you.

I am using the Apple iPhone folder in file explorer. I go into each folder and select all the videos and try transferring it. I’ve done it on both the newer laptop (that uses OneDrive) as well as the older laptop (that stores directly on the laptop). I’ve also tried transferring it to an external hard drive. When neither of those worked I tried uploading to google drive using the app on my phone. I’ve also tried uploading to OneDrive via the app but the app itself was quite glitchy and kept closing.

maybe it's a certain type of file format on the phone causing the glitch.
try one file at a time until you find one that doesn't work, then try others until you pinpoint the format type that could be causing the issue.

I've tried copying MP4 and it does not copy, MOV copies but the copy is blank. When I try doing MP4 and it disconnects my phone it seems after disconnecting and reconnecting that the phone is now not showing up on the laptop. However, I will try again with the older laptop this weekend.

could there been an update/patch that reset this and needs to be reconfigured?

have you tried emailing the vids/pictures to yourself may have to do one or 2 at a time. trust me sucks to do this way.

on some phone you have to turn on the USB transfer.

It’s possible the settings I chose is reset. I have to find the post that explained the setting and check.
I tried sending someone else an email recently with a video and wasn’t able to. I had to upload the files then email it.
Photos are transferring fine. But videos aren’t.

Do you need any further assistance
Unfortunately when I connect my phone it is not showing up. I hear the ding when connected but I no longer see the file folders to access the photos/videos to transfer the media. I will try again.
There was a setting I did change that must have changed back during a update. Hoping this fixed it

some thoughts....

uninstall and reinstall iTunes on your PC.
how much free space is now on the phone?
have you tried copying the videos using another PC?
sounds like you tried OneDrive, what about DropBox and Outlook? on each video, tap to select, choose Share and send to either OneDrive, DropBox or Outlook - does that work?
