I ran SFC and it found 5 .dll's that it could not repair, how do I go about fixing this?
Having problems playing Empyrion that started me checking things out.

Windows version ?
explain 'repair member file' ?
do ytou know the name of the 5 DLL's ?
have you done a chkdsk c: /r ?

From elevated command prompt, run
SFC /scannow
restart

Do this three times.

Report.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Here is 1 line from sfcdetails.txt:
"5:41, Info CSI 000000e9 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:18{9}]"ehres.dll" of Microsoft-Windows-ehome-ehres, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch"
"ehres.dll"
"CA-wp3.jpg" not dll
"comctl32.dll"
"peverify.dll"
Guess i miscounted, but SFCFix shows 6 problems
No, on chkdsk yet.

The elevated command prompt is important.

If the third sfc returns errors,
open elevated command prompt
type
findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >PCHF_sfc.txt

Upload filename C:\Windows\logs\cbs\PCHF_sfc.txt

I do not expect SFC to correct peverify.dll. That may be a visual studio component.

Do you run Media Center, if yes, do you use any add-ons?

elevated command prompt i s run as administrator, right?
looks like a couple are fixed
Don't use Media center much if at all

The CA-wp3.jpg is part of a Windows Theme. Uninstall any or all unused themes. I thinks is done on the personalization screen, right click theme, uninstall/delete.

I would uninstall the Windows Update
KB2937610 Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1

and then run sfc /scannow again

Sorry for delay. Dinner Interruptus

YES

sfc /scannow is best run three times, with restarts, if first run shows error
Don't use Media center much if at all
ehres.dll error may be related to theme customization. It contains icons and bitmaps etc for the Media Center shell

Any update for us QIX ? If unreplied to within 48hrs this thread will be closed.
