I've run out of black ink but the 3 colour cartridges are full. Does anybody know if there's an option to change the print settings so that it prints using the colour cartridges? I don't care if it comes out blue, red, etc.

The only info I can find on google is completely incorrect advice, which is;
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Click on ‘Printers and Devices’
  • Select your printer brand and right click on it to open the drop-down menu
  • Click on ‘Properties’
  • In the Ink Set click the ‘Color’ option
  • If the black ink cartridge is empty, you have to click on the ‘color’ set option
  • Click Apply
The final 3 steps don't even exist...

it varies per printer and I've seen it done the reverse way, that is, the colour has run out and you just change it to grayscale.
but I've not seen what you want done.

Looking through your printer properties - No it does not have the colour option
One thing you can try is change the document text to a c olour e.g Red - then try and print.
This depends on 2 things
1) you created the text and can change it to Red ( or it was created by someone else in word etc not a pdf)
2) That the printer allows you to print with an empty cartridge. Some printers will let you print with an empty some printers will not print if one cartridge is empty.

Thanks, unfortunately it's a document of installation instructions so all of the text and illustrations are already in black. I was just hoping to be able to print it in blue
