Hello,
I have this Dell Latitude E6420 laptop with i5 version,
I accidentally lowered the brightness of the screen under Windows 7,
Now I do not see anything on the screen and even after rebooting, I can not see the BIOS, I could actually see it and I could try to change the BIOS brightness after 30 minutes of testing, but it did not work no, if I put an external monitor. works after I'm in Windiws but even if I change the brightness nothing happens!
HELP ME PLEASE !!!

Sounds more like a hardware issue than a problem that is windows based. But if it is a windows issue, then I believe a system restore is in order.

Edit: might as well set your bios to default as well.
