Bought a used pc awhile back and since then, I haven't been able to do anything with it. Prom what I could tell, it was owned by an older lady that someone had guardianship over. Apparently they set it up for her to use so she had a basic user account but the person who set it up created an admin account and virtually locked everything out. All I can do is log on and look at it. I can store files but nothing more. I need permissions to run disc's, load apps, make changes, even reload the system. It's ridiculous how windows 10 is. I wanted to install Linux but guess what, I need admin permission. There's no way for me to do anything on this computer. I assume since this unit was donated to a charity thrift store. The user passed away and they just wanted it gone. Didn't bother to include the password or unlock it so now it look like I'm stuck with a brick. Do I have any options at all?

By passing the security that is in place we cannot assist with.

You can contact Microsoft.

It's a dell 3020. Admin locks on windows and I can't reload the system because of the uefi boot security.

They you would need to contact Dell and or Microsoft for assistance.

Due to the terms that you agreed to we cannot assist bypassing security.

You can also talk to a local tech shop and see what they suggest.
