Hello, I have an old game which I am running through an emulator since my laptop doesnt have a disk drive. To do this, I had to mount an ISO file to my laptop, (this was my first time doing so, so I am new to that kind of thing). What I'd like to be able to do is have all of the games files, included the mounted ISO file, all located on an external hard drive so that I can play the game off of different computers, without needing to reinstall the game on every single computer. Is it possible to boot a game off of an external hard drive like this?

Hello

Yes you should be able to,from my research.. The only issue that came up is the slight lag in speed from a HDD and the usb hook up..

Update: more research is saying that this setup works great..

Great to hear, thanks for the response! Did your research say anything about how one goes about doing this? Is it as simple as just installing the game on the HDD, and mounting directly to the HDD too?
