Yes, another bluetooth issue for me. I was typing a YouTube comment when suddenly my bluetooth keyboard started wigging out and just continuously started typing the letter e and would not stop even when I turned the keyboard off. Then suddenly the connection LED on my keyboard and mouse started flashing (meaning they weren't connected) I checked the System Tray and my "Bluetooth" icon was gone. I checked Bluetooth settings and it doesn't show a bluetooth adaptor installed. I checked Device Manager and Bluetooth is suddenly gone, except when I click "Show Hidden", Bluetooth is there. I went ahead and downloaded the latest driver from MediaTek and installed/updated the driver and it still does not work. I went into my bios and made sure the bluetooh adaptor was enabled and it is, so I went ahead and disabled it, restarted Windows logged in, then logged out went back to the bios and endabled the bluetooth adaptor and Windows still says a bluetooth adaptor is not present. I did update windows a few days ago but up until today everything was working fine after the update. I know I can try and disable/uninstall the bluetooth adaptor in Device Manager but I'm just afraid if I do that then it won't show up period when i check it again considering it is only showing in the Hidden Devices section.
If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Tomorrow I'm going to uninstall the Windows update and see if that works, but considering it was working fine with the update until a few hours ago, i don't think that is the issue. I've attached the Speccy report. Since I know the drill by now. If you would like me to run minitoolbox can you please tell me what to check and uncheck because that little program is a bit confusing. Thank You.

Hit start, type services. Click on Services. When it opens look for these entries
Stopped:
Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service
Stopped:
Bluetooth User Support Service_e99a8

and change them to Automatic.
Reboot.
Let me know how it goes.

If the above doesn't work:
Code:
Not Installed

11/11/2023 Intel Corporation - Bluetooth - 22.250.10.2
Installation Status:
Canceled
Intel Corporation Bluetooth driver update released in August 2023

Download this https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

Load it and let it run and if it finds the Bluetooth driver needs an update, install it, reboot. Test

I'm not sure if it matters but the bluetooth adaptor for my mobo is mediatek not intel, so that intel tool didn't detect that my system needed anything. Enabling those bluetooth services didn't do anything. Also when I right click any of the bluetooth devices in device manager and go to general it shows this,

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

I get that message for every single bluetooth device in device manager. Also I did uninstall, the bluetooth adaptor last night and just like I thought, now it doesn't show at all in device manager and I can't seem to get it back. When i try and install the driver by right clicking my pc in device manager and clicking "add Drivers" it shows that the mediatek driver installs but then shows this,

1. Uninstall your existing bluetooth stack (driver software that came with the bluetooth adapter).
2. Reboot your computer and click "Cancel" when Windows asks for the driver.
3.Run BluetoothDriverInstaller.exe and follow instructions of the wizard.

Download and install the BluetoothDriverInstaller_x64.exe this tool will usually find a decent generic blue tooth driver for your machine.

how do I uninstall the existing driver? In device manager the Bluetooth adaptor doesn't show since I uninstalled it last night so there's nowhere in device manager to right click and uninstall.

unfortunately it didn't work. i got these two messages:

For that first error. I checked in that location and it looks like there is already a file called that in that location. Should I maybe delete that file and retry this?

Update: I looked at some other threads on here having to do with bluetooth. Some suggested turning off the PC and unplugging it then plugging it back in and powering on, and that worked, lol. Bluetooth is now showing for me and working.

It came built in with my mobo. The weird thing is that I think the bt adaptor is part of the wifi adaptor, they are both mediatek and my mobo uses the wifi antenna as a bt antenna, yet my wifi was working fine. I have no idea what caused this to happen in the first place either. I've had the mobo for almost exactly 3 months.

yeah, most mobo's with that sort of small square wireless card (like a NVMe slot) do a combo wifi/BT adapter.
usually the antenna coming out of it is for wireless and the BT one in embedded into the circuit board since it only has to go 10 metres or so.
