So. I bought a new gpu , gt 1030 , to ubgrade my pc. I realized that my monitor doesnt have hdmi or dvi d ports so i put the old gpu back in that is from amd. Now when i try to open windows it boots up fine yhen shows me a black screen but with a mouse. I think its because of the bios on my new gpu that overwrote my old amd bios. How do i fix this?

This is not possible, if it were you would be getting nothing at all on screen, as requested above we need the specs of your hardware.

First thing that I would suggest is trying to force the computer to start in the Recovery Environment, we will let you know how once we have your specs.

what happens if you remove the GPU and run the PC off the integrate graphics ports (if the mobo has them) ?

I have kinda solved the problem but have a new one. I dont have any of my old files and data but they still occupy space on my hdd
