the G6 series came out over ten years ago, how old is your unit?

so you changed the BIOS battery - is the one in it now a new one or a used one?
where as it purchased from?

and the main battery, it' still the original?

does the laptop start at all, with the main battery pulled out and the unit running only on mains power?
