There is a scam trend going on regarding fake technical support and fake IRS calls to your home phone, cell phone, and even work phone. PC Help Forum does not call, will never call, regarding tech support. PCHF is 100% FREE, forever. If you ever get a call claiming to be from us, it's fake. Now that that's out of the way, here's some ways you can protect yourself from becoming a victim of these scams:

  • The IRS never demands payment via Western Union, MoneyGram, bank wire transfers or bank deposits be made into another person’s account. (More info at the official IRS website)
  • Microsoft and other giant tech companies will never call you. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, it's a scam and you should hang up immediately.
  • Put your number on the Do Not Call list
Remember, STAY VIGILANT :)
