  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

Hi everyone!
So I have a Lenovo Legion y520 laptop. My problem is that it is stuck in an automatic repair loop, and I literally can’t do anything. If I try to do a system backup the STATUS_WAIT_2 error pops up. Won’t let me do a restore, saying no error just not letting me do that. Even tried using cmd but somehow the laptop don’t recognise any directory just X. It’s like it doesn’t have an hdd... Any ideas to fix it?
Thanks for your help!
Chris

Hello

See if this works.. Connect the Windows installation media or Recovery Drive/System Repair Disc to your PC, select your language preferences, and finally click Next button to continue ........

  1. Click Repair your computer at the bottom.
  2. Choose Troubleshoot>Advanced Options>Command Prompt.
  3. Type chkdsk /f /r C: and then press Enter
  4. Type exit and press Enter.
  5. Restart your PC to see if the problem is fixed or not

“Cannot open volume for direct access” that’s what came up when I tried this..

Couple of questions if I may;

Had the computer been dropped or banged previous to this happening, such a new computer should not suffer a failed storage device so soon.

Is there any data on the HDD that you need to try and recover.
