Hi Guy's

Anyone using a VPN service in .au? What would you consider to be the best VPN service for Australia? Looking at setting one up soon (y)

Hi Mate :)

Australian-based VPNs. Because ISP providers are going to block curtain sites.
AUSTRALIA will join China in implementing mandatory censoring of the internet under plans put forward by the Federal Government.

G'day Matt, I used Private Internet Access for a while and found it OK. It doesnt matter where the VPN provider is. I was looking at a bit of stuff on BBC UK that my Optus ISP wouldn't let me. Just don't expect that no one can track you..

Welcome to the new Australian democracy comrade, will be compulsory to only watch ABC news and current affairs on tv soon, in fact you'll be shot at dawn if you don't..

Hi Gus :)

The reason I mentioned Australia is because I thought it maybe faster being in .au I don't mind where it is based I guess, I need to find the best bang for buck VPN there seems to be tons of them out there.

Don't worry mate if I have to watch ABC news and current affairs on tv soon, I will shoot myself (Jokes) :ROFLMAO:

Private internet Access have servers in AUS, and all over the world, too many to choose. It was a little slower than Optus but very usable, mind you I get fairly good speed with optus. Upload sux, but still..

Private Internet Access, but I'm not experienced in any other paid vpn's, tried a couple of free ones but they weren't worth anything. Just One I've tried, be careful. Link is HERE

So far as security goes I wouldnt trust any VPN for absolute privacy. If big brother wants to know, they will. Sure it will get around Australia's new censorship laws, but let's not think it's foolproof privacy.
Have fun with it..
