hey, i'm using windows 10, i have laptop acer swift3, i5,8th gen

i'm trying to install audio driver from offical website and install it to my laptop but nothing worked

Screenshot (12).png

i clicked right and checked properties its showing error -

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

There are no compatible drivers for this device.

To find a driver for this device,

i tried this method too but nothing worked for me

  1. From Start, search for device manager and select Device Manager from the results.
  2. Right-click the device in the list.
  3. Select Uninstall from the menu that appears.
  4. After the device is uninstalled, choose Action on the menu bar.
  5. Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

i tried almost every method, like watched 100s videos and 100+ articals about that

i'm attaching some screenshot for better understanding

Alright, I’ll take a look after work today. About 6 hours from now.

One way to find the correct drivers, on your Audio as shown in 1st Picture, right click it, properties - Details Tab - From Drop Down Arrow select Hardware ID, this will give you the actual ID, as per the txt files you attached Intel(R) Dynamic Platform "VEN_8086&DEV_1903&SUBSYS_129A1025&REV_0B" if you copy /paste into a google search you'll get results, like this one, Intel Driver download the files for your device. Just be careful where you get drivers from not all places are good. The Actual Manufactures ( intel or Acer) are safer, but that linked site has never given me any problems . When you click on the link theres another from Acer

In device manager, right click and uninstall all audio related drivers and reboot the machine.

what audio device are you trying to get working - external speakers?
are they 3.5mm jack or USB connected?
whatever they are, try the other sort.
do headphones work when connected?

what happens if you start the PC in Safe Mode?
also try creating another user profile and logging in under that new account.
yes, both of those suggestions are long shots!

this thread is three days old now and this may be one of those situations where simply biting the bullet and reloading Windows is required.
yes, it's a big hammer for a little problem, but it has an excellent chance of fixing the issue.
try resetting Windows keeping all the software and personal files.
if that fails, backup first, wipe the drive, and start from scratch. (y)
