Hi you all,

I have a problem with mentioned ASUS Zenbook.
I fixed the hinge of the display because it was broken. Now the notebook won't turn on. And I don't have a clue what's going on there. As soon as I plug in the ac adapter the charging led, the power button led and the caps lock led turn on but nothing happens.
When I press the power button for about 10 seconds the LEDs go off as long as I am on that button. If all of this wasn't strange enough, the CPU heats up when the ac adapter is plugged in but the fan isn't spinning.
I tried do a hard reset and starting it with or without battery. Without success.

Do you guys have a clue?

The display cable seems to be ok. But one of the cables from the wifi module to the antenna has a cut. But could this really cause those problems?

But why do the LEDs light up and the gpu/cou is heating up as soon as I plug in the dc? That's what confuses me about this. I mean, I could accept that it isn't booting properly because of the wifi antenna, but this?

With glue. The plastic holder on the backcase was broken. I glued the plastic piece in place.

When you opened the case and or resealed it you may have buster a wire or something on the boards.

Some of the wire are very brittle.

You could of dripped glue on some cable that is not not making a proper connection

You could of static discharger and possibly bricked it.

Something like this could be possible. Unfortunately I haven't found the problem yet. I thought that maybe the behaviour of the notebook is maybe known and would point me in the right direction.
