I was given two ASUS vw224u monitors to replace my previous monitors. ASUS 19" and HP 19".
I am running win 10 on a desktop with NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 display adapter.
The connections are:
Display 1 DVI to hdmi via adapter cable. This display is good.
Display 2 dvi to dvi. This mmonitor is giving me issues.

The problem I am getting, on this display only, I get a window that pops up and scrolls through display mode options. I tried snipping an image but to no avail so here is a description.
The window is small with a light blue background. The display mode field is darker blue. Below the display mode field is Menu: Exit but it does nothing.

Device manager shows it as Generic PnP and drivers are not available.

Anyone else seen this or have any idea on how to get round it?

Thanks in advance.

I should have mentioned that I reconnected the cables at the monitor (because I am using existing cables) to see if it was a loose connection. No change.
I just swapped cables at the PC to see if the problem migrates. So far it has not, so hopefully it was a loose connection at that end. Time will tell.

well, smacking the buttons didn't work.
I think my options here are either to live with the annoyance (it's becoming less continuous and more intermittent) or remove the button display. I'll open a new thread if I ever do the second option.
Thanks for your help. How do I close the this thread?

I have also had one of my monitors do the same thing.
I ended up unscrewing the corner where the buttons were to take pressure off them and that was enough to stop the phantom button presses.

I'll close to for you now. :)
