Hey, weeks ago I build my first pc and running into some problems.

When I watch some YouTube videos (this is not happening to all YouTube videos) I sometimes get "black Artifacts".
https://streamable.com/ugviek basically looking like this.

One thing I noticed when trying to fix this issue, this only happens on certain videos, and never while gaming or other tasks. (Or even other video platforms)
To that, when I tried to fresh install the driver (dejecting it via Device Manager) without a driver installed this problem does not happen at all.
I'm not sure if my GPU is faulty or if this is probably rather a Software problem, haven't seen similar cases to mine as well.
Unfortunately, I can't test it with another GPU if the problem would go away.

Already tried resetting Windows, not sure if my Image on the USB could be the problem.
Tipps / Idea's on troubleshooting this?

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
Graphics Card: RTX 3060
MB:B550 Aorus Elite V2
DRAM: Corsair vengeance rgb pro 2x8 GB

Thank you for reading this.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Thanks for the response!

Hope this was correct, thanks for the help.

How did you possibly miss answering the above

Three things of note flagged up in your Speccy report, see below;

RAM
16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1696MHz

That is the wrong RAM for your CPU, AMD state here up to 3200MHz and if you have XMP or DOCP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC fall over.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: top performance

Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 21.12.2022 15:39:37

The driver installation was done incorrectly.

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the MBs chipset drivers, then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer or downloaded from their site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

Oh.. i somehow overread that sorry! my PSU is: 750 Watt be quiet! Straight Power 11 Modular 80+ Gold

I see looks like i fixed it by starting windows in safe mode, deinstalling GPU driver via DDU and then installing Chipset & GPU driver again.
Atleast I couldn't noticed any problems for now. Thanks for pointing it out.
Werid you say this, because I remember I did it in this order, maybe I just forgot something.

The PSU is ok but not my choice as their warranty periods are too short, seven is my minimum for a build but most often ten, yours is a meagre five years which wouldn't fill me with confidence.

Werid you say this, because I remember I did it in this order, maybe I just forgot something.

Nope, what can`t speak can`t lie and there were six Windows and Defender updates first and then you installed the Nvidea drivers, these on the day of the install on December 21st, the chipset drivers were not installed until the following day, in case not aware, the chipset drivers are what enables the MB to be able to communicate with the rest of the hardware which is why it 100% must be installed first.

Glad to hear that you have made progress but have you changed the Windows Power Plan to Balanced and knocked off XMP so that the RAM does not get OCd past what the CPU can handle.

You must do both and then once the PC has passed all tests you can manually OC the RAM to 3200MHz.
