Hi,

I have question regarding an error message I get

unning one particular program.

The message reads

”APLICATION ERROR MEMORY AT (gives location)

CANNOT BE READ.”

Closing the program returns computer to a low res. desktop screen.

Am I correct in assuming that either the

The application install is faulty

or the actual location in the memory chip is faulty

Are there other reasons that may give the error message.

I have 4gig of RAM installed , would more RAM help to

solve this problem?

Regards

let's get your PC specs...
download Speccy from here; https://www.piriform.com/speccy/builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
paste that link into a post.
One area Speccy doesn’t show is the Power Supply Unit, so also include the make/model of the PSU.

while we wait for those, try these from an elevated command prompt;
  • chkdsk /f
  • sfc /scannow
  • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  • dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase
