Hello, this is my first post because I've scowered the google and I have no Idea what is going on. So my pc was working just fine I ordered some standoffs from amazon because I lost 2 while I was building this pc (I'm an idiot) but nonetheless I built it completely without two standoffs and had been playing on it for a while then the standoffs came in the mail and I was ecstatic so I opened her up and babied all the parts because I was scared as hell of breaking something I basically isolated the MOBO (unplugged anything connected to the MOBO) and pulled her out. Then I screwed in the two standoffs placed the MOBO back on and screwed her in then I reattached everything (GPU, various power cables). Moment of truth comes and my monitor says no signal... I'm baffled. So far I've tried a different graphics card starting it without the GPU, putting the washers on and off trying to turn it on. I checked the underside of the MOBO for damage or signs of shorting. Inconclusive. Any ideas on what I did wrong?? I'm going to attempt to take out the new standoffs and starting it like how it was before.
Oh and these are my specs:
Ryzen 3 1200
Asus Prime B350M-A/CSM
EVGA GeForce GTX 1050 2gb
EVGA 450BT, 80+ Bronze 450W
Ballistix Sport LT 2x4gb ddr4 RAM
Rose will microatx minitower

...help me pc help forum, you're my only hope ))):
 
Hello

Make sure all your connections are tight. You can cardboard the components by taking all your gear out and re-assemble it on the cardboard and then check it to see if it would power up and work. If it does not this would indicate a hardware issue.

Good idea to try an alternative add on GPU but in case you are not already aware your CPU does not have any integrated graphics so you would not get video without a working GPU.

Let us know where you are up to with your troubleshooting to avoid us suggesting things already tried.

Hey! So I tried the cardboard thing and it powers up the fan on the graphics card powers up as well but still no video going into the monitor. Y

I didn't know haha, I turns on and all the fans spin including the GPU fan but no signal to the monitor. The monitor is an acer KG241Q bmiix
 
With the hardware disconnected from the power outlet, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis or PSU, remove both sticks of RAM and the MBs CR2032 CMOS battery, leave out for 5 minutes or so then replace it, insert a single stick of RAM in slot A2 which is the second one away from the CPU, reconnect the power etc and test, post back with an update when done.

If using a computer and not a mobile phone, please avoid adding multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page.

It still says no signal to the monitor, everything was working fine the day before.
 
Not looking good atm :(

Did you try the alternative video card and is the alternative video card known to be 100% working.

The video card I tried was fresh out the box (gigabyte GeForce gtx 1060 ti) I'm saving it for a different, more expensive build ):
 
Not finding anything on a (gigabyte GeForce gtx 1060 ti) could it be a Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1

Have you tried any alternative video ports and video cables, this includes a DVI port cable, display port cable and HDMI port cable.
 
May indicate failed RAM. Remove all RAM. Power on.

If video is present, failed RAM. Test sticks.

Yea that one my mistake, I don't have any other cords other than a hdmi. Ive made an appointment to see a computer repair shop but I'm a little sketched I ain't got a lotta trust for those dudes but we'll see. Laptop emt is the company.
 
When you tried the Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 card did you connect the supplemental 8 (6+2) pin power supply from the PSU to the card.

In the order of failure rate it is most often PSU, GPU, RAM, MB then the CPU, the PSU is powering things up, you have tried an alternative GPU, two sticks of RAM have been tried separately but the behaviour is the same, this makes the MB the most likely cause and based on what we know about the stand offs a shorted out board the cause.

Only one further thing that you can try yourself and it may not be easy at this time of year, get yourself a BIOS error speaker to attach the speaker header on the MB, see attachment below, you should also inspect the MB closely to look for any blown or bulging caps, see info here to help with this.

Honestly that's probably what happened, I have carpet and I tried to put the standoffs late when I got off of work at 1 am so I was probably sloppy and maybe I shocked something or I'm not sure. Anyways thank you for all your help I really appreciate it, I'm probably gonna just return it to amazon because I bought it not too long ago and then just buy another MOBO. That would work correct? It's also not imparative as I'm building a new one anyways so if it's a loss I can part it out and (hopefully) break even with the build.

Not the MB but the case was on the carpet and I set the MB on the case then put in the two standoffs then put the MB back in. Oh and I may have grabbed the MB by the CPU fan and not the sides of the MB
