I have a laptop from acer. It holds this battery AC14b18j Battery for Acer Aspire ES 15 ES1-531 ES1-533 ES1-572 Laptop 11.4V 36wh.

The charger when plugged in stays at 0% if the charger is removed it goes dead. I have received a notification of a power surge on the USB port. So common sense dictates the port is the problem. There is no other port to put the charger.

I would get a replacement battery or is this an issue with the battery port? The battery port look to be solded on so would be impossible to be removed manually by myself.

I APPRECIATE ANY INPUT AND WOULD BE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL.

Not a problem.

All you could do it see if replacing the battery works.

From the sounds of it there is always the chance that something else down the line is and or shortly going.
