Hi Everyone
I am in need of support to get 3 monitors working for 2 pcs.

I have 1 laptop working well but the gaming PC only uses 1 screen for the moment.

Here is my setup in the diagram and also the photo.

As per PCHF's rules, we cannot assist with anything having to do with your work/any technology provided by them, let's make sure we are in the clear before proceeding with this.

@Malnutrition

Looks to me like the work laptop seems to be working well, and the gaming PC is the issue. I'd say it's fine by me, I would not know where to start to help, @Pyro would assist.

I could be wrong tho I will tag an admin.

To Recap the above image system works fine with my laptop but only 1 screen with my gaming PC.
I had the 3 screens plugged into the gaming PC but this means i have to change the setting on 3 monitors to switch.
I would prefer to have a kcm switch.

To perform like the following
Laptop using peripherals ( keyboard, mice and headphones AND 3 Monitors ) WITH ONE BUTTON PUSH the system changing to use the GAMING PC with all the same peripherals.
I have a UGREEN USB switch but that doesn't help monitor switch .

Can you just plug the Dell hub into the gaming computer? This should allow your to use everything plugged into the hub on both computers depending on which one you plug in.

Is it a USB-C to USB-C cord, or what does the end that plugs into the Dell hub have on it?

The Hub i have is the DELL WD 19 HUB - USB C Lighting - So it doesn't seem to work with USB 3.1 on my gaming pc.

I didnt think this would be this time consuming or im looking at the setup all wrong.

To have 3 monitors working with 2 machines so be easy with a switch button press without re-cabling each time i want to use them.

I cant work out what to cable and what to buy for a switch if i need one at all

You can get either a DP to USB-C adapter or DP to USB-C cable, I would simply plug your game pc into the dell hub and swap which cable you have plugged in as necessary.

I ended up using the above image setup with this adjustment.
Laptop = HDMI TO DP adapters and plugged Screens into DELL HUB WITH HDM
Game PC = I ran 3 DP cables from each monitor to the gaming pc into DP ports to utilise the gaming video card.

The USB C Cable from Dell WD19 HUB is USB C Thunderbolt which didnt seem to work on the game pc . ALSO that ment if it worked i wouldnt be using a Good gaming graphics card.

NEXT i will try to daisy chain the 3 screens for Gaming PC to remove cable length.

IF all fails i will be buying a $600 KVM switch haha.

sounds like a plan, good luck. (y)
let's close this now, and if you need it re-opened, PM any staff member and it will be done.
