Wondering about pc being fried

I keep having trouble with either my motherboard or my PSU not working, and just dying on me. I’ve realized I’m using a 2 pinned outlet without a ground line. Maybe this is why my parts keep dying? Maybe electrical surges are killing them? Just want to be sure what the problem is, thanks

what country are you in?
won't be any help having an Earth wire in the PC power cord unless the house is earthed.

what parts keep on dying, how often?

maybe best bet is a UPS unit, not only do they provide a few minutes of battery backup when the power goes out but their other selling point is all the stuff they do the the incoming sine wave - under current, over current, spikes, brown-outs and all that other good AC/DC stuff.

the good units handle about 11 or so of those mentioned functions, my current UPS does about 7 I think.
