Windows PC upgrade

Hi,

A friend asked me to have a look at a Windows 7 laptop they have with a view to upgrading to Windows 10. I stupidly thought that it would be easy to do this as I didn't know that free upgrades had been stopped by Microsoft and Windows 7.

Can anybody advise me on what I could do with this? At the moment it has internet explorer and this doesn't let me do anything at all. Can I do anything at all to upgrade this laptop for my friend and make it useful?

Thanks

g'day and welcome to the forum. :)

first up, check the laptop manufactures website to see if they have drivers for that PC that support Windows 10.

and if going to Win10, why not go for Windows 11?
you'll be up for paying for one of them, might as well get the latest!
