I'm about to build a new PC (old one died and was due for an upgrade anyway) with the following components:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor W/ Wraith Stealth
Asus PRIME B450-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard
SeaSonic FOCUS Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Also bringing in 2 components from my old computer:
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4 GB Video Card
Seagate 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive
The thing is apparently the Ryzen 5 isn't compatible with windows 7 which is what is currently installed on my HDD.
How do i go about getting windows 10 onto my HDD that i cant access currently due to not having a working PC?
Can i set the computer up with the current HDD and make sure everything works and then install a new operating system?
What are my options?
