Windows 7 PC died... help please!

I have an old HP windows 7 desktop PC that I use for my basement karaoke system and it recently died. Here's where I am with it....

It would power on for about 5 seconds and shut down.

I have 4 similar HP desktops for parts, so I first swapped out the power supply with no luck, then the processor, then the Ram, and finally I pulled the HD and tried it in one of the other PC's, but it will not boot windows.

Surely theres a way to make one these 4 work!! lol

Any advice greatly appreciated. 👍

what is the reason the other four are sitting around, unused - that is , what's wrong with them?
are they all of the same vintage, give or take?

I would be stripping them all down to their base components, and on a piece of cardboard, starting with whatever motherboard you think works, then adding piece by piece the other components until you get lucky.

you're right - between 5 PC's, you should be able to get a working unit from them. :)

Thanks for the reply.

They are all Hp of the same vintage... family members PC's that were upgraded, so not sure what problems they might have.

I placed my HD in one of them and it passed all the HP diagnostic tests, but with my HD installed it won't boot to windows.
