Windows 10 randomly reboots

Hi

I recently bought a new HP laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed, I have removed all the normal extra anti virus that I usually have like AVG and Iobit Malware fighter and am just running the windows defender software.

I have run Iobit's Driver Booster and all drivers are up to date as far as I can tell, and all windows updates are installed.

I have tried to see if there is a pattern, but it appears to reboot even if it is just sitting idle with no programs running.

I have done the usual things like unchecking the box to stop it restarting on system failure but it has not made any difference.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Snake oil

Before you did all of the uninstalls and installs how was the system running?

What is recent I have had customers tell me that they just got some thing recently six months ago.

Since this is a new system I will tell you to contact the manufacturer and have them help you under the warranty since anything that we could have you do will possibly VOID any said warranty.

As above, rubbish.

And just to add, ONLY get drivers from the manufacturers of your hardware. Also suggest you stop Windows Update from downloading and installing drivers as well.

I decided to do a full system factory reset as all my files are saved in the cloud, so far so good. Although the first time I tried to reset it went into a boot loop at 64% so tried again using f11 and HP's factory reset, all seems fine now will just wait and see if it happens again, if it does I will contact HP support as it is under warranty.

Cheers
