Hello,

So i recently built a PC.. About 3 months ago.

I'm having some nonsense issues. Heres my setup:

Gigabyte X470 Aorus gaming mo bo
Ryzen 7 2700x
64gb G. Skill 3200 DDR4 ram
2× Vega 56 OC edition gpus
1200 80+ platinum EVGA psu
7Tb SHDD (3 hybrid drives--4tb, 2tb, 1 tb)
480mm liquid cooled w/ 300ml pump real combo
Direct cat 5 internet at 300Mbps
Windows 10 pro

Anyways.. So both windows 10 and windows defender all not let me run programs. Epic games launcher, Steam, Steam games, epic games etc. WOT wont update or run either.

Also wont update windows 10.

I've ru, error checks which failed, malware bytes which got 2200 issues, quarantined but nothing fixed. Windows repair and troubleshooter doesn fix anything Rootkit doesn't find anything. Windows fixit repair wont run as well as some of these programs get blocked by windows defender and wont run.

Windows boots up fine and this just started happening in the last week or 2...figured its a virus, but all the anti-virus/ malware etc. Either doesnt work or doesnt find anything.

I cant get pics and other info upon request, since I am on my phone typing this. I do get errors, but nothing has fixed it. Even proven fixes by their selected producers.. Youtube works, internet works fine. Speed test is 300+ mbps/ <10ms ping

Thanks

Hello BigMudTrux,

Try a reset "how to" here try the keep my files option first, if that does not work you need to do a full reset which will remove all previous apps and data.

Well, unfortunately, all of my attempts to format, repair, or replace windows 10 have failed..even down to reinstalling Windows. I have windows on a second hard druve and it for some reason reverts backs to the same windows, even installing a new iso..im at a loss..im not sure what to do

Pain in the proverbial to do I know but with the exception of the target boot device I would take all of the other drives off line and try a clean install, even if it means installing Windows in Legacy as opposed to UEFI BIOS.

Any update for us?
As of right now it runs somethings but others it doesn't run Games stop times and then it won't load again. did get a bunch of errors.. World of tanks won't update or play, epic games wont load, Steam same.. Windows keeps uninstalling games and puting them back. I have tried to format drives and install windows and also use repair and fresh install but nothing works still

Did you try the suggestion in my reply #12?

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.

You say that you have tried most all that has suggested but not what was specifically suggested in my reply #12, if not tried, give that a go but instead of clean installing Windows then hooking all the other drives up straight away just keep the drive with Windows on it in use for an hour or so to see how things go, if things start going amiss with just the basics in use you have narrowed things down a whole lot to just one drive and Windows itself.

I am going to have to put in a whole new drive and try that and a whole new Windows 10. All my other drives got erased along with the ISO file I had on a thumb drive.. And it wont run on the ISO I re-put on the thumb drive. ( with all but one drive in there).. So it will take time to go through and cant load other photos since they are too big...this is what I get from running the ISO..a black screen with a dash
