Solved taking long time to establish network connection(Ethernet Lan)

hi,I am facing an internet connection issue after windows boot,There is delay about 90 seconds.sometimes around 2 minutes between reaching the desktop(when desktop appears&the network icon start spinning) & finally establishing network connection.
I tried several solutions found in the net but nothing worked,Finally I narrowed it down to the Avira Free antivirus. I thoroughly uninstalled Avira(though i should have tested in Safe Mode first)& network connection is immediate.
FYI I did not instalL Microsoft Security Essentials.
Is there any work around or solution so that Avira does not conflict with network connection & causing delay.Or can anyone who had faced the same problem recommend another antivirus.
Since its a free version Avira does not offer technical support.
Would appreciate if someone can help solve this matter.Thanks.

Ram:4GB
Operating System:Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit

Here is the tool to remove the leftovers of Avira.

Run that then post a speccy report.

So other can assist let get a speccy report.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Have you tried resetting the entire network or the computers network configuration back to factory?

What happens when the system starts under a clean boot?

I'd suggest reinstalling Avira, then use Geekuninstaller, force mode to remove it.\
Then use the Avira removal tool.
You can then search Avira with the Everything search engine and remove any remnants that way.
Also, check with Autoruns tool, to see if any drivers for Avira are still loading. They like to stick around sometimes, even after removed....

Download adwarecleaner
Save it to the desktop run as admin.
Go to setting tab and make sure these are all on.

Turn on the following.

Delete IFEO Keys.
Delete Tracing Keys.
Delete Prefetch Files.
Reset Proxy.
Reset Chrome Policies.
Reset TCP/IP
Reset Hosts Files.
Reset Winsock
Reset IE Policies
Reset IPsec
Reset Firewall.





Now go back to the dashboard, make a scan then when complete make certain everything is ticked.
Then click on Clean.
Then your machine should reboot.
Check the issue after the machine restarts.

Then tidy up the machine.....

  1. Download CCleaner from here.
  2. After installing click options.
  3. Go to monitoring.
  4. Uncheck all monitoring items.
  5. Go to advanced tab -- Click close program after cleaning.
  6. Go to settings -- Click run Ccleaner when the computer starts.
  7. Now that you have Ccleaner installed and set-up:
  8. Open the program.
  9. Go to Tools
  10. Go to Startup
  11. Now double click each item. To Disable.
  12. Leave only your antivirus enabled & the programs mentioned before.
  13. Then disable All items in your Scheduled Task as well.
  14. Unless they are related to Windows Defender -- Or your Antivirus.

Additional info:The network detection lag was minimal (normal)after installation of Avira antivirus when connected using wirelessN ADSL 2+ router combined with modem(modem router) but increase to more than 1 minute when I recently migrated to fiber broadband which utilise separate modem & wifi router.
Router:DLINK DIR-830M Dual Band AC1200 Gigabit Wifi Router.

PSU:Cooler Master RS-460-PCAR-A3 ATX12V V2.3

What are we trying to fix here
Not using wifi adapter for desktop pc but connected with ethernet cable from pc to Lan 1 port of wireless router & router Wan port also linked with ethernet cable to Lan 1 port of modem/optical network unit.
 
Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:



Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP Configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size



Please post the log in your next reply

Security Check Scan.
  • Download Security Check to your desktop.
  • Right click it run as administrator.
  • When the program completes, the tool will automatically open a log file.
  • Please post that log here in your next post
 
Think I go this route.Instead of sticking to an already unsupported system,better to install Linux Mint to this ancient motherboard.Also anti virus companies including Avira had either already ended support for Windows 7 or planning to.
