sporadic PC restarts

I've had this computer for a year and a half, recently it started restarting out of the blue. It happens only once every several weeks or so - no BSOD, just goes straight to the BIOS. It seems this happens mostly when the browser I'm using has a lot of open tabs, especially if they're YouTube videos - I think.

I obviously read a bit about the issue on the Web - I installed an antivirus, got a surge protector etc. The problem disappeared for quite a few weeks when I stopped using the MS Edge browser, but just now it restarted again - for the first time on Chrome, and I'm back to square one.

Is it possible that faulty RAM may trigger such a reaction when there are a lot of open tabs? I'd expect a BSOD if it was RAM, whereas as I said before the computer just suddenly goes straight to the BIOS without any warning. Given that last symptom - does it mean it's either the motherboard or the PSU?

My PC: AMD Athlon(tm) X4 740 Quad Core Processor 3.20 GHz, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, Motherboard: MS-7721 (A78M-E45), I'm almost certain my PSU is Silentium PC 450 W, I can double check that tomorrow (when I don't wake anybody up).

It has just occured to me - given that the PC restarts seem to occur when I watch videos on YouTube, is it possible that it's the graphics card? After all, modern browsers make use of the GPU for rendering videos. On that last note, my graphics card is ASUS GTX 550 Ti (on which I replaced thermal paste just before I put the PC together a year and a half ago).
