Hi folks I have a hp pavilion with a non functional screen. I was suing the HDMI port and a rc mouse to make it work on a smart tv. Now the HDMI port is blown. Is there any way that I can use one of the USB/A sockets to make this work.Idid have photos and music backed up on a thumb drive but needless to say i can't find it. I would be grateful for any help.

It's an old model the best I can do is give the product number from inside the battery cover. C6M11EA#ABU model g6 -2219sa

You won't be able to get video out of a USB-A port.
I think your best option is to remove the internal drive and put it into an external enclosure.

thanks everyone for the help looks the path of least resistance won't work. I'll have to ask my son in law to sort it for me.
