Hi, it has been about 4-5 days since screen has been flickering with knife cuts like things in game. It is normal outside of the game. I am facing this issue in League of Legends game.
I have never had this issue in many years of playing the game.

I haven't made any changes to the settings either. This happened all of a sudden.

I have updated my graphics driver and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but the issue is still there.

Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the following:

OS
CPU
Motherboard
RAM (including the amount and Number of Sticks)
Add on Video Card if one is used
Power Supply Unit

Providing these details will enable folk to better help you.

Hi, sorry for that.

Its a laptop.

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
intel core i7 8750H cpu 2.20 Ghz 6 cores
Ram 16gb (8 gb 2 sticks)
Intel UHD 630 and gtx 1060 both are inbuilt

this is the normal screen:

and here is a screenshot where there are knife like cuts flickering. There is a lot more than what is shown in screenshot, but seems the game's screenshot capture(f12) can't capture them. windows screenshot capture doesn't work, just gives black screenshot for the game.

Since this is a laptop, you will have to their manufactures to get the proper drivers for the display card that is installed. They have different drivers because they modify the cards to reduce power consumption and heat, to do this they write their own drivers that reduce the GPUs performance and power requirements etc.

You will probably need to get both drivers for both cards.

After you have gotten the proper driver from them use the DDU tool to uninstall the current one and you can install the proper one.

Test and see if that corrects this.

Also, when you are running the game are you using the system connected to power and what do you have the power setting set to?

Hi, so I think it is solved. I had uninstalled and reinstalled intel, but it didn't work. I forgot to check uninstalling nvidia graphics. I have uninstalled it and it is running now. I don't know what model my laptop is, so can I just install a new software from nvidia site?
mine is metabox laptop.

After the uninstalling, nvidia driver was installed automatically by windows after a while, and it caused the flickering issue again. not sure if the integrated graphics card itself is damaged or if it is the driver issue.

Hi, it seems like the problem is with Nvidia. when it is uninstalled, there is no flickering or tearing effects in the game. But when it is installed (even from the manufacturer's site), there is the tearing effect.
What are the options available for me? Is it really an issue with the graphics card?

with just intel graphics card, the fps drops to below 60 it seems. Is there a way I can fix the tearing issue from the nvidia graphics card? or do I have to leave it uninstalled?

Next time please test for a while then post once.

Go to the laptops manufacture site and download an older version of the display drivers.

Have you checked with the game manufacture and or their support site to see if other are seeing issue and have posted corrections. You may have a setting incorrect in the options for display and or game.

With most portable system the RAM is shared with the display cards.

With out know the complete make and model all we can do is guess.
