Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my pc, when I launch a game or a program my pc restart and a red light turns on in the motherboard. I don't know why but it's really annoying because I can't do anything.

Graphic Card: Zotac 1060
Motherboard: AsRock X99

CPU
Intel Core i7 6800K @ 3.40GHz 25 °C

the azrock support page should have your motherboard manual available for download.
and in that, hopefully they list the potential error codes and descriptions.

where on the mobo is the red light?
can you attach a pic?

I will send some pics, when I get back from work.

The red light only appears when I launch a game and the pc reboots then it stays on for 10 seconds.
BTW the graphics card is really hot when this happens.

Last night I launch Apex Legends to see what happens and the pc was doing well, till loading the main menu.

Then I got on counter strike and the pc didn't turn off.

The red light it's in the bottom right close to the "Asrock", under the graphic card.

Speaking of graphics cards, have you changed it recently or the drivers?

Interesting, Speccy quotes a different graphics card to what you quoted?

Some boards had a red led near the graphics card that indicated the card overheating maybe due to the power supply or its power connection.

What power supply (make and model) do you have?

Im pretty sure this is the light that turns on when the pc restart.

So what you mean is I should update my config? Change my graphic card?
Don't get what you trying to tell me.

The games I'm trying to play don't need or ask for powerful specs.

my guess is the PC is having a thermal event caused by the video card.
remove it, clean it, reseat it.
make sure the case is getting good airflow through it.
clean all the fans that you can.
even run the rig with the side case off for a while.

I have opened my graphics and cleaned it but now I'm waiting for the thermal paste to change it. I will let you all know when I got it and test it. Thanks for the help too.

Thanks for the update (y)

Not seeing anything that suggests that any thermal paste needs to be reapplied tbh, can you post the PSU brand and model name or number as was requested by gus on Tuesday.

I suspect that you will find that it is the PSU that is the cause, you have a pretty power hungry GPU with a 980Ti and should not be using anything less than a Gold efficiency rated 600W supply or above from a proven brand such as Corsair, EVGA or Seasonic, Zalman I`m afraid are on the avoid list when it comes to PSUs, see feedback here

Alright, I will order a new PSU when I get home. It still less expensive then change all the config.

Thanks for the information about it.
I tough it was a good PSU but after seeing the review on it, I agree it's a piece of junk.
