I just got a new phone and I want to make sure I am charging it correctly. I just bought the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G phone. The Galaxy A15 phone has a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone that I replaced it with is a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone with a 3,000 mAh battery. The new phone and the old phone both support Fast Charging. Samsung gave me a USB-C to USB-C cable but they did not give me a charger. The first time I charged my new phone (and so far the only time) I used the 5-watt charger from my Samsung Galaxy S9 and it did charge the phone but the charger got really hot.
I have a 25-watt charger that I bought for my tablet. I am pretty sure that I can use the 25-watt charger to charge my new Galaxy A15 cell phone and I am thinking that the 25-watt charger won't get as hot. Am I correct thinking this or am I missing something? Thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
